Oxford Instruments X-Strata 960 Coating Thickness Measurement Instrument

This Oxford Instruments X-Strata 960 Coating Thickness Measurement Instrument looks to be in good cosmetic condition, showing some signs of wear.

It powers up, and the power light and fans come on, and the "X-Rays On" light illumintes, and it emits a red laser beam, but I was not able to get it to do much.

The first time I powered it up, nothing at all came on the display. After powering it down and up a few more times, the display did illuminate, and show some contrasting colors, but no coherent images, and it was unresponsive to any of the buttons.

This is the extent of my testing of this system, and it is being sold as-is, for parts or repair.
